Kimberly Glassman, Esq. Ms. Glassman is an attorney with extensive experience advocating for the rights of children with disabilities. Her practice centers on special education, suspension and expulsion cases. She has represented over 150 parents and guardians in seeking a Free Appropriate Public Education for their child. She has litigated these cases at Due Process Hearings and has represented parents in dispute with local education agencies on a wide spectrum of issues. If your child has an Individualized Education Plan or a 504 Plan or you suspect one is needed, Ms. Glassman can work with you to secure the services that your child need.
In addition to her focus on these practice areas, Ms. Glassman has experience in various general litigation and consumer matters, including landlord/tenant, Chapter 7 bankruptcy, consumer and debt collection, and employment law.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Glassman was a Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Bureau in Riverdale, Maryland, where she represented indigent clients in a wide range of civil matters and was a Skadden Fellow at the National Women’s Law Center, working on issues related to Family Economic Security. She is admitted to the Maryland, the United States District Court, District of Maryland, and the District of Columbia bars.
She earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in May 2003, magna cum laude, and earned a B.A., cum laude, in History and Political Science from SUNY Geneseo in May 2000.
